Skyline Bel Air Estates Swim Team  Map Our mascot is the Dolphin and we are an excellent team for swimmers of all skill levels.  The team is run by a dedicated and friendly group of families from Skyline Bel Air Estates.  Our coaches strive to teach the basics of the four swimming strokes in an enthusiastic, caring, and fun environment. The team is open to swimmers who are ages 4 to 18.  Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool in order to be entered in meets.  SBA has a five-lane, 25-yard, unheated pool.  Our season starts in May with practices after school. Swim meets are throughout the month of June and Championships are in mid-July.    TEAM PHILOSOPHY Our goal is to provide kids an opportunity to develop a positive self-image through appropriate instruction, training, and competition in a fun and caring environment.  The team also has been blessed with an outstanding group of caring and conscientious parents and a strong sense of community.  One parent from each family is required to work at one of the 2 home meets as a timer, ribbons, U8 helper, runner, parking, or set-up/clean-up crew.   POOL LOCATION - 6100 N. Camino Almonte. Skyline Bel Air Pool is located approximately 1/2 mile north of the Swan and Sunrise Drive intersection. Head north on Swan and turn east (right) at Camino La Brinca. At Camino de Santa Valera turn north (left) until you hit Camino Almonte where you will head east (right) for 1/8th of a mile.  Look for the pool on the right hand side.    COACHES Tori Gutt, Northern Colorado Swim Team Kaitlin Reeves, WSI certified   SEASON DATES Pre-Season  Ventana Practice         April 20- May 14   Mon-Fri   at Ventana Canyon Pool - 6200 North Clubhouse Lane  Tucson, Arizona 85750  (fee is $50.00 for 1st 35 swimmers to sign up)       Ventana Canyon pool is located off Kolb Road and Clubhouse Lane.  This 8 lane pool is heated and pre-season swimmers will swim with the Ventana Canyon Team.  We will swim HS from 3:30-5:30, 8 and unders who can swim the length of the pool 4:00-4:30, 9-12 from 4:30-5:30.  Parents will receive a gate pass for Ventana Canyon for the month and carpooling is encouraged. A practice meet will be held at Ventana Canyon between SBA and Ventana Canyon on May 26 at 5:30.  All swimmers are encouraged to attend this meet. Fees include all registration costs, training, entry to all Invitationals, awards, a team tee shirt, SBA swim cap and end of the year party.  No other expenses will be incurred except for the optional team swim suit.  See below.  SWIM SUITS Every two years, SBA custom orders a team suit for an excellent uniform look. The 2011 swim suit will be ordered through Patio Pools and can be ordered at registration.  Suits cost approximately $30.00 (boys) and $45.00 (girls). It’s not mandatory to order this suit.  REGISTRATION DATES: Sunday,  March 20th at 3:00-5:00    &    Sunday, April 10 th at 2:00-4:00 (All registrations at Skyline Bel Air Pool: 6100 N Camino Almonte) Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate (if he or she has not swam for SBA in the last 2 years) and full payment.  A limited number of spaces are available for non-resident swimmers so sign up early!
